Sunday, after Church, the Mack's invited our family over for Judah's birthday. It was a whole lot of fun. Especially since Michaela was there to take creative photos with. :o)

AnnaLynn's 10th Birthday

As soon as I got home from Duck hunting, I had and hour to get ready for my best Friend, AnnaLynn's, Birthday. I was so excited.

Mrs. Seifert had wonderful ideas for activities. One of them was making these turtle candies. -oh-so-good- You lay out pretzels, place Rollo's on top, then bake them for 3 minutes, and add the almonds. Simply Divine.

Another one of her ideas was embroidery. So much fun! I never really do embroidery, so this was a blast.

I made this box at 12:00am, just before I went to bed after getting ready for Duck Hunting. I think it is kinda cute. The huge "A" is actually the card, and the squares are starbursts.

Happy Birthday to AnnaLynn, my Sister in Christ, my Friend. You are very special to me Anna. I have always enjoyed getting together with your family, and making many fun memories together. You will make an excellent mother and wife some day, and I hope to help you in some way, climb the stairs to Biblical womanhood.

I did not get all of my pictures in order here, so bear with me.



I know it's blurry. And it makes me so mad too, because it would have been a great picture! It was hard to get a nice photo, because I could not take a picture, (which needed a flash at that time of morning) until they shot, so I had to be ready really fast.

While Papa was retrieving one of our ducks, I stepped outside the blind to take a photo of the rising sun. And, Man, was it pretty! I loved the tall trees too.

This was actually on our way to the blind...in the dark. It seemed like it took half an hour to get there, but really only took five. Maybe I was a little too tired. :o)





I know this is sort of a weird picture...but in some ways I like it.

After a while of sitting there, I found this little fella crawling on my boots. I know it's a moth. But I liked it's antennas, they are really pretty.

Hunters. That's who we are. And I am proud to say, I love every minute of it. :o)



This was going to be at the top of the post, so just imagine with me a minute, and let's say that it was. :o)
At 5:00am in the morning all of the guys crowded around what I call, the "hunters shack." (where you pick your blinds)
Caitlin and I stayed in the van for the most part. Why? Because it was warm....*smile*



And these are the Ducks! We shot more than this...but we did not find around 2-3. We got 6 coots, Which are DUCKS! (Don't listen to people who say they are not classified ducks. They have the bill, the feathers, and the duck feet, which all belong to a....duck. )  And we also shot two Mallards.

Thanks be to God for creating ducks, for man to shoot.

Life

Last night I went to bed after listening to a lecture, and man was I tired! I got all snuggled up and fell asleep,
keeping in mind that I had to work the next day and I would NOT sleep in. About 10 minutes later my mom comes in and turns on my light on my side table. Thinking that I had slept in and she came to get me up, I jumped out of bed, ran to my dresser, and started rummaging through my stuff, trying to find my work clothes, while I was 'loudly'  repeating, " I cannot believe that I slept in!!! Oh my!! Did you wake me up? I just simply cannot believe I SLEPT IN!!!" ect.. That's when mama came over to me and said, "Honey, It's 11:00 at night. It's not time to wake up yet. I was just looking for the computer cord." *ug* But I must admit it was nice to be able to go back to sleep. :o) As you might have guessed, I needed it! 7:00am came, sooner than I would have wanted, and this time I checked to make sure it was ACTUALLY time to wake up. It was to my disappointment, but I got up anyways and made myself breakfast. A little while later I went back in our room to wake felicity and Caitlin up. (this is difficult) Not too long after that Papa was up and dressed and then he and I loaded the truck with all of our equipment. 8:30am and Mr.Bradley comes up the drive. We all get in our trucks and head out! Today was nice because we did not have to edge or do anything extra. Just mow, blow, pick up leaves, do a little bit of moss, pick up piles, and....that is about it! when we came home, Caitlin, Papa and I, dumped the truck, and off-loaded all of the equipment. After that, I made some home-made chocolate fudge sauce for company tonight, (Seiferts) and stirred the apple butter....while holding Nickolas. Then off to clean up! The Seiferts arrived at around 5:00pm, and then we just relaxed, ate, laughed, and made good memories. Thanks be to the Lord for this wonderful day!

The carving of the pumpkins

Careful there Marcus, Those pumpkins can get pretty tough!

 This is JQ's first time carving a pumpkin, he was a little grossed out.

After helping the little boys and Alainna opening their pumpkins, I started my own.

I think Papa had just as much fun with it as us kids did! But that is good, because I love carving pumpkins with the WHOLE family.

I used this thermometer for poking holes in my pumpkin....and Jacob got a hold of it, and pretended to cook his pumpkin. Silly boy.

Throughout the whole time carving our pumpkins, Levi continually asked, "Papa, when are we going to eat our pumpkins?" As he is eating away at his raw pumpkin and seeds. We had to stop him before he got sick, but apparently he thought it was good....again, silly boy.

And as they are all out there taking pictures, lighting their pumpkins, I am still inside working on mine. *ug* I messed it up so much! I must say, I am NOT skilled at carving pumpkins!

And after all of that, we sat on the couch, had a nice conversation, and drank apple cider. Yummm. What an eventful and fun day! Thanks be to God.
