Home alone- day two

Well, truth to be told, we haven't gotten as much done today, as we did yesterday. I think it is because we were suddenly struck with the reality that our parents would not be back for some time, so we did not have to be as fast. (Yesterday was not so "un-normal" because sometimes our parents have a full day of errands, and we try to clean the house for them when they come back. So, today was a second day, thus making us not 'as' motivated. Sadly.)
So... I think we might have a relaxing time tonight, watching a movie, eating all the ice cream we can find on our property, and sending the kiddos to bed. *chuckle*

My island room

I was going to post about my clean room...then I realized that I had not posted what it looked like since Caitlin and Alainna moved out! So, here are some photos of my "island" room. I absolutely love it! The only thing it needs is the sun shinning through the windows! Right?

I call this corner my "hut." I can just relax next to the grass covered window, next to my parakeet, under my hut, in my hanging hammock. Seriously, am I not spoiled or what?!?!

My Papa bought this glass ball when he took me to San Diego, California this Feb. I love it, and am super surprised that it did not break on the way back here!

My happily unorganized desk, where numerous creative ideas enter my head.
This is actually Felicity's flower lamp, but I needed it....   :) AND, I keep my spare change in none other than a real coconut! Sweet!
 Our beds....

 My grass curtains.

I love the ship, map, drift wood, rocks, shells, and everything else, that totally adds to the theme of the room.
I bought these at.....Goodwill. They were way-too-cute to pass up!
I am still not done with it, but that is what it is so far. I hope, (HOPE)  to put a small beach deck under the hammock, and put actual sand on it. Yeah, it would be a mess, but I think it would be something cool, and definitely out-of-the-ordinary.

I might have something else to add when my parents come back from Cancun Mexico too! Wow- I am so very much blessed! I thank GOD for the life that I live, for the friends I have, for the Family I cherish, for the Church I am a part of, for the faith that I have, and for the place I live in! It is all such a blessing!

New card

Home Alone- Day one

Home alone, day one, has been oh-so-much-fun. Caitlin and I, being large and in charge, got quite a bit accomplished today. She and Marcus worked outside all day, while Felicity, the kiddos, and I worked inside.  That being the case, I don't have very many photos of what Caitlin has completed out there, but I do have loads of photos waiting for you from what I accomplished in the house. :o)

The yellow bar wall always gets scratched because of the bar stools, so I painted over them.

This is our brand new stainless steal dish-washer that our wonderful grandparents blessed us with a couple weeks ago. It is so beautiful and works amazingly!
I put a new kitchen helper in the middle of the kitchen. I like it because it is small enough to not get in the way, and big enough to be useful. :)

I would not be able to work as jolly and fast if I had not had my blog music on. :)

 Painting over the scratches.
I swept under all the rugs and uncovered SO much dust! It collects so fast!

Now, I'm not sure if we will keep this here, because my parents liked the bench, but I sure like the way it adds some color, and an extra something to the room.

Caitlin and Marcus cleaned a whole lot of places outside. I would list them, but I don't think that you would be able to picture what I'm talking about.

Well, that's day one, and what an accomplishment!

I am NOT related-

Just in case you cannot tell 'what' these 'things' are, I'll fill you in. :) They are the last of the white tribes, who just so happens to be my siblings. They tried to blend in with the muddy swamp where they live in the pond, so that the frogs, which they hunt for food, would not see them. Fortunately for them, they have sisters who cannot stand the tribe, and who give them a thorough rinsing with the hose if they get tired of frog soup, and want something good to eat.

Random post

Hello out there,

Well, through out the week I've thought up a whole lot of posts I could write up, and of course, as I sit here ready to post, I can't recall a single one! So I'll just write about what we've been up to lately. :)
Mainly, we have been getting ready for my parents to go on their trip to Cancun, Mexico. But other than that, I've been making cards, cleaning, normal chores and schoolwork, and planting our garden. So, nothing much, just the normal going's on of life. :)
What have you all been up to? Anything interesting or new?
