Beach house- day two

February. 14. 2012 marks the second day of our beach trip. The sad thing about that fact, is that we only have two more days before this vacation in the sun and sand ends. The happy fact is that now we have another whole day to make memories. It's sort of a bitter-sweet experience. Sometimes I wish with all my heart that either time could stand still, or we could somehow magically find never-land. But, unfortunately, things don't happen this way, and perhaps it's for a purpose.   There are more things to experience in life, more lessons to learn, and more things you can do to bring glory to our creator. Setting aside every random thought I've just scribbled down here, today happened, and this is what the day brought forth...

I don't have any photos of earlier today, because this was my cousins' last day here, so I spent it entirely with them. We played volleyball most of the afternoon, then climbed the sand dune. What a glorious and breath-taking view it is up there! Our God is an awesome God. Sadly, after we came back to the beach house, my cousins had to leave for a volleyball tournament. *sniff* They were greatly missed. Even though we didn't have their company anymore, we still had my more-than-simply-amazing Grandmother! (I love her SO much!) She can lighten anyone's bad day, and make you smile not of your own free will. She is a precious thing, and such a huge blessing to my family and I.
Activities of the day included- Surfing down the sand dunes.
 -Feeding birds. (BAD idea!)
 -Reading weird books.

 -Playing volleyball. (again)
 -Laughing with Grandmother.
 -Playing tractors.
 -Watching siblings play outside.
 -Finding broken sand dollars.
 -Crocheting.
 -Walking with family.
-Watching the glorious waves make their way over the rocks.

 -Jumping over rocks.

-Having a contest to see who could find the coolest shell.
 -Smiling. :)

 -Stepping in wet moss.

-Playing in a pool of water.

-And playing in the sand.
Life is good....especially at the beach. :) The sun felt like putting chap-stick on chapped lips, the sand felt like an iced lemonade in the heat of summer, and the water felt....like the Great Northwest. -Cold.  It was great to re-live summer for a short while. The shorts, flip flops, and volleyball were more than welcome back to me! Thanks be to God for another day full of blessings and adventures.
Thanks for reading, and..many apologies for not bringing the sun back with me!
